What a beautiful day!

March 20, 2010

It was a great day in Western New York today! The sun was shining, it was warm and a little windy…perfect for a run:

I rocked the run!  It felt fantastic to get out there and run again, I’d been neglecting the runs lately, since I decided not to run the race.  I missed it, though!  I may not be the fastest runner, but I love it because I can get into a groove where it just feels good. I’ve read that this happens to runners, thus the reason why I consider myself one!

I also did a short ab workout which consisted of crunches, reverse crunches, v-ups and pulse-ups.

I was going to run earlier in the morning, but ended up running mid-afternoon because of a trip to Wegmans (the local grocery store).  So breakfast I had a protein and a carb, because I knew I’d be running today:

4 egg whites, 1 slice of mozzarella cheese, and herbs de provence.   The carb was a blueberry pancake sprinkled with cinnamon (no syrup).

After I returned from the store (breakfast was actually at lunch time, LOL) I needed something to get me through the run, so I had one of these:

I’m becoming very fond of these.  And this one does taste like PB&J!  I think it had 5 ingredients, tops. All pronounceable, and no preservatives.

When I returned after the run, I was hungry again, but it was so late in the day that I decided a snack would suffice:

Hummus with:

Mary’s Gone Crackers.  My fave snack! I got some great things at the store today! ;)

My parents have some wonderful friends who cooked dinner for us, brought it over and visited while it heated in the oven.  I love any food I don’t have to cook, and it just so happens that this food tasted awesome.

They brought over the following:

stuffed shells.

and:

greek salad, garlic bread, pita.

The Greek Salad was wonderful!  There was feta, onion, big dark green lettuce leaves, olives, pepperocini’s, and calamari with a dill dressing.

This is what my plate looked like…veggified, LMAO:

Veggified!

Broccoli and cauliflower, stuffed shell, garlic bread, lots of Greek Salad, and a corner of a pita.  Awesome, awesome!  I stuffed my face full of some really rockin’ food.

Stay tuned tomorrow for another food rockin’ day in the real world!

on a mission…

March 10, 2010

I have decided that I am on a personal mission to get as fit as I can and clean up my diet as much as I can between now and June (when we go to the beach, haha!) and then carry on, of course, during and after my vacation. I am sooo looking forward to my vacation!

With that being said, I had a rockin’ workout today! I went to my BodyAttack class, which cheered me up considerably, then worked out on the floor with weights for another 45 minutes…today I did chest, shoulders and abs.  I was supposed to do triceps too, but I just didn’t have anything left.

  • Machine chest press, 60 lbs. 3 sets of 8
  • Machine chest fly, 60 lbs. 3 sets of 8
  • Dumbbelll incline bench press 20 lbs. 3 sets of 10
  • Bar military press 40 lbs. 3 sets of 8
  • bar upright row 30 lbs. 3 sets of 10
  • dumbbell lateral raise 8 lbs. 2 sets of 8 (uhhh, these are hard! Something to work on!)
  • bench leg raise 40 reps
  • incline reverse crunch 40 reps
  • kettlebell side bend (15 pounds) 24 reps (12 each side)
  • pulse ups 36 reps
  • v-up 12 reps

I guess I did a lot today, I didn’t realize until I wrote it all out!

I have an instructor/national trainer at my gym who is eating clean and she’s been giving me a lot of food for thought lately.  It’s nice to know someone that you can bounce things off of and get ideas from in “real life”. :) Plus, it’s great for support!  I know a lot of people who don’t have that kind of support, either in real life or online…I ran into that myself when I first started eating clean from my “friends”.  They thought I was obsessive/compulsive and my eating habits were strange. Eventually, they came to accept it; but it was kind of a long road.  I persevered, though, and believe that I came out stronger because of it!  Strong-willed…that’s me! ;)   Food for thought here….if it were easy, everyone would be doing it. Nothing is free.  You have to work at this like everything else.  The payoff is your health.  So eat clean, be healthy!!!

Enough talk today, I guess maybe you want to see what I ate? It wasn’t very exciting…but it was yummy…and I did manage to cut out sugars today, and felt a ton better and not so weighed down. ;)

I got home from the gym and decided I was going to make cut up sweet potatoes, but I burned them. :(   Have you ever tried a burned sweet potato? YUCK. I really wanted to eat them, too.  In place of the burned potato, I had some foods that you’ve seen before but all together in one place for my lunch today:

Luuunch!

Leftover tuna fish from yesterday with the Santa Fe Marinade, cottage cheese (low sodium), raw peppers and Mary’s Gone Crackers.  Perfection in a bowl.

I must admit that I just didn’t know what else to eat today so I didn’t do the snacky-snacky thing.  Dinner was yummy and very filling:

Grilled pork chop, large sweet potato, and squash with craisins and fresh oregano.  Was fantastic!!! :D

I love the squash.  I think I like it better with basil instead of oregano.  It was still good, though!

MASSIVE sweet potato. With cinnamon.

I plan on having a banana boat for dessert….it might look something like this:

Banana, coconut, natural peanut butter, golden raisins, honey.

Or it might look something like this:

Banana, raisins, raw cashes, cacao nibs, nut butter.

Who knows? We shall see! :)

Have a wonderful and healthy hump day!

What do I do all day?

February 17, 2010

First, to get it out of the way, my run was moved to Friday.  I didn’t realize how behind I was on catching up with things at home.  This is what I accomplished today, and nothing had to do with going to the gym :( :  This is a modified schedule of what I do when the kids are off from school!

  1. woke up, 8:30 am (kids are on February break)
  2. made lots of breakfast
  3. cleaned the kitchen
  4. planned dinner
  5. took the puppy to PetSmart for a bath
  6. went to Target to get Sophia earrings
  7. made lunch for everyone
  8. made myself a protein shake
  9. 7 loads of laundry
  10. picked up the puppy
  11. wrote out the kids chores (and made them do them!)
  12. went to the post office for boxes, and ultimately back to the post office to drop them off
  13. took the boys for a haircut
  14. made dinner
  15. cleaned up after dinner
  16. had family game night

WHEW!!! I guess I was busy today! ;)   In between all of that I talked on the phone to a couple of people and refereed the kids.

Hopefully tomorrow will be an easier day. Today was just hectic!

I gave the kids the pancakes that I made the other day for breakfast, and made my “panoli’s“. Can you guess what is better then 1 panoli?  2 panoli’s, LOL!

Panoli.

In case you didn’t see this post, Panoli’s are pancakes that are thin like crepes, with cottage cheese and hot pepper salsa.  Love them. I have decided, these are the perfect breakfast.  It’s all about getting both the protein and the carbs in!

Since y’all saw how busy I was today, my lunch was a protein shake.  (the kids had sandwiches).

Mmmmm.

and the larger pic ~

Jillian Michael’s chocolate protein powder, maca, unsweetened cocoa, banana.

I got hungry while I was making dinner, and had some of these:

Mary's Crack and Sabra Supremely Spicy Hummus

and some of this:

Pepper and hummus

Then I set out to make dinner.  I actually had another meal turn out this week!  I started with a chicken:

chicken.

threw some spices together:

spices.

and roasted it in the oven at a low temp until it looked like this:

roast chicken.

and of course another view of said chicken:

another view: roast chicken.

Resulting in my complete dinner:

the complete dinner.

Of course, the chicken breast was eaten sans skin.  It was divine!  So happy it turned out for the family.  It’s one of those dinners that you make that is not needing a lot of supervision.

Of course, there were a couple of these leftover from yesterday:

Have a great night! Tomorrow’s plan is a butt-kicking BodyStep workout in the am, followed by a weights session.

See you tomorrow!

back in the saddle…

February 14, 2010

I have a confession, I only ran 4.5 out of the 7 miles I was supposed to run.  I just wasn’t feeling it, and I over-dressed and was actually HOT!  It was 50 degrees out today.  I think I did a good job though, because I increased my time:

Not bad. That’s with all of the hills in my subdivision, too! It’s fairly hilly.

I had a light lunch before I went out to run:

I need to start using smaller plates.  It looks like there’s hardly any food on it!  I assure you there was.  It is Mary’s Gone Crackers, Sabra Hummus, and yellow peppers.

After my run I ate a Larabar:

It looked like this one but had green packaging. It was Key Lime Pie.  Interesting flavor, it wasn’t terrible!  Edible.  Not fantastic.

Since today was Valentines Day, Jeremy had stopped at the butcher and brought us home some monster Delmonico Steaks.  I love steak!!! I think we have it every year for Valentine’s Day.  We don’t bother going out, because we’d have to hire a sitter and then deal with huge crowds.  Jeremy grills better then any restaurant, anyway!!

Now THAT'S a steak!!

Now the sides are what are interesting.  I had a side of Pasta Roni (yes, I’m aware that it’s not clean, but I love Pasta Roni – I don’t eat if often) and I wanted to partially imitate that squash side from Wegmans in Rochester, NY.  Theirs looked like this:

Wegmans

and was made with red onion, spinach and Craisins.  Mine looked like this:

Mine

and was made with basil, Craisins, and caramelized yellow onion (the onion wasn’t on it yet when I took the picture).  I liked mine better…spinach doesn’t really taste like anything, but the basil added a lot of flavor.  Also, the red onion in theirs was too chunky, it really needed to be smaller/thinner pieces.  So overall, I was very happy with my recipe!!

Oh and there was a glass of this:

I also, for the record, ate 2 pieces of mozzarella cheese,  some chocolate and a small piece of the cookie cake from yesterday.  I don’t know what’s up with the cheese and the chocolate lately. I could seriously live on them for every meal!  I need to get my head back into it, and cut the sugar back out.  Sugar does nothing for my body and has absolutely no nutritional value.  Tomorrow, I pledge to remove all of the sugar from my diet again.  2 days in a row is too much!

See you tomorrow! :)

Back in the ATL!

February 11, 2010

Sorry there wasn’t any posts yesterday, but I flew home on an evening flight and got in late.  This morning, I got up, got the kids off to school and went to the gym which made me very happy. 526 calories in about 55 minutes at 21% fat.  In BodyStep class!

Ezekial Muffin with natural peanut butter.

After my step class I had a Larabar:

Not impressive.  I was disappointed! It was edible, though, and I really needed something to eat after class, because my breakfast was so small.  I was at the gym for a while socializing with my friends, who seemed happy to see me. ;)

When I got home, I just wasn’t that hungry and I was trying to unpack boxes and luggage and whatnot.  Before I went to pick Sophia up from school, I had my fave snack:

Sabra and Mary's Crack

Sorry about the photo quality…I’m still not completely unpacked and am using my iphone.

YUMMY!!!

I really need to go to the grocery store, it seems as though we’re out of food at our house…which is amazing, since I do have 3 kids!  I decided the clean eating dinner would be grilled pork chops, brussel sprouts, and Rice-a-Roni Nature’s Way rice:

It was sooo good.  I also took a picture of the rice box…tastes like the normal kind, but is preservative free!

I’m not sure what’s going on for the gym tomorrow. We’re supposed to get a ton of snow here! I thought I left the snow in NY! ;)

I leave you with a picture of Biscuit, who didn’t forget me but is now the size of a small pony…

I didn’t take the picture, Aidan did, so it’s a bit blurrrry.

Have a fantastic night!

Real World Eating Saturday!

January 30, 2010

This morning, I woke up to a chilly morning, but the sun was out and shining!  I love when I wake up and the sun is shining.  It’s a new day!

I wandered downstairs and made Dad and Mom some breaky and then I made some for myself.  They had eggs over-easy with toast, and I made myself 1 whole egg with 2 egg whites and rye bread toast with my homemade cinnamon vanilla pecan granules butter.  My eggs didn’t fare as well as theirs, they look a little over-cooked (and they were!)  They still tasted great, though:

My eggs had orange peppers and mushrooms also, in case you were wondering what was in that mess on my plate, LOL!

Today was another day of errands, here and there…and when I got home I was kind of hungry for lunch so I made a small salad, with orange peppers and carrots, hummus and guacamole (all of this is clean, by the way) and Mary’s Crack:

I also took a close-up of the yumminess:

OK, the guacamole looks a little…strange.  It’s Wholly Guacamole that you buy at the grocery in the produce department.  I cut off the tiniest corner of the package because I hate when it turns brown. And that’s why it looks so…funny.

Then I decided to go on a run.  Let me tell you, it was 9 (NINE, in case you didn’t get that) degrees.  I had the same outfit I had on the other day when it was 15 degrees out.  I think it was windier today, or maybe because I hadn’t eaten any carbs since breakfast (my own fault, I know better)! this run was not a stellar run.  I kind of felt sick the entire time, and I was really cold.  I had to cut my run short by 2 miles.  I’m glad I did, too, because the tops of my legs and my stomach were bright red and cold when I got inside.  (Obviously, I had them completely covered!)  On the upside, I completed 4 miles, and faster then the previous 4 miles I did a few days ago.  YAY! :)

I had bought some trail sneakers in the men’s shoe section at Target:

They look very large. I’m not even sure what size they are in women’s, but they’re a 7 in men’s.  I think I have a blister on my pinky toe, but I’ll get over it.  I only slipped once, and that was on black ice.  The roads were covered in slush and snow and they got me through! A++ :)

Miss my normal running sneakers, which happen to be Saucony’s (and pretty pink, too…I can be such a girl sometimes, LOL).  No, I did not buy them because they were pink, I was fitted in an actual running store where they watch you run.  Then they give suggestions on sneakers that will match your feet and how you run.  I’ve been fairly pleased with my “new” (I’ll need new ones before the 1/2 marathon at the end of March) sneakers.

I warmed up after my run with a leftover latte from you know where:

The I had a huge treat for dinner.  Subs (or hoagies, depending on where you are from). ;)   Homemade.  Mostly clean.  Turkey (real), salami, fresh roll, provolone cheese, veggies, guacamole, salami and balsamic vinegar:

Fit for a Princess :)

A picture of the provolone cheese ingredients:

To make up for the salami, I ate a huge bowl of broccoli with peccorino-romano cheese and lime juice:

A picture of the cheese container ingredients:

Clean!

The reason I took pictures of the cheese ingredients is that a lot of people think just because you are eating clean, you need to cut out dairy and cheese.  Not so!  Low-fat cheeses can be used in moderation.  Just so you know, rennet is an enzyme that helps curdle the milk when making cheese. ;)

I have had another long day, so I am going to relax with TV and go to sleep.  Have a wonderful night, and stay warm.

Jessica xoxo

…and I ate a whole head of kale!…

January 20, 2010

I’ll get to that in a bit…

Let’s start our discussion with yesterday’s BodyAttack launch.  I am so psyched. It ROCKED!  Cardio junkies like myself were very happy by the end of this class.  Complete cardio, great leg workout, triceps, chest…and more cardio.  I haven’t been to the last 2 launches because of the previous stress fracture in my hip, but I really liked this mix.  I did get one picture of our fantastic instructors:

I am a walking advertisement for my gym, but my gym is awesome.  If you’re in the Atlanta area, contact me for information and we’ll get you in to work out with me!

This morning there was some more protein powder oatmeal:

Sun Warrior Chocolate Protein Powder, chucky peanut butter, strawberries. YUM!

Yesterday I had a little bit of this, a little bit of that, and a whole LOT of that :)

After the awesome workout, I had a protein shake (no pic)…Sun Warrior protein, maca, banana, and unsweetened cocoa.  When I returned home, I was starving again, so I had the rest of the sushi that I bought at Whole Foods the day before.  Brown rice, salmon and cream cheese roll:

I sprinkled some Braggs Aminos on it for that necessary added flavor ;)

Then there was some of this:

Some of this...

and…some of that:

Some of that...

(Just the Mary’s Crack).

Then my grab n’ go snack:

Homemade Trail Mix

That brings us to dinner.  I had a plan…another night of 101 ways to cook shredded chicken, purple sweet potato, and steamed Archer Farms mixed veggies in a microwave bag:

That’s cinnamon all over the sweet potato, and it had a drizzle of honey also.  My shredded Mexican chicken sandwich had diced green chili’s, was on an Ezekial english muffin, and was spiced up with this:

Clean hot sauce :)

Veggies!

Only veggies. Nothing else. Clean!

The purple sweet potato..I gave them a try before, but I couldn’t even eat it.  So unsweet, even with the honey and cinnamon :(   It looked so pretty, but tasted awful!  In the meantime, I decided to make kale chips.  Using my Misto olive oil sprayer:

Flavor without over doing it!

I tore up a head of kale, sprayed it with olive oil, seasoned with sea salt, and threw it in the oven for 45 minutes.  Fortunately, it was done while I was trying to eat that purple sweet potato.  I hate to throw away food, but I needed a replacement, and the kale chips were it.  The following is a before the oven picture:

Before.

And another:

Good thing the oven is clean ;-)

And finally the after picture of kale in a “chip like state”:

Crunch, crunch, crunch….so there was a replacement of the sweet potato of plate number 1:

Then plate number 2:

Then forget the plate, I ate the rest standing over the pan!

I can’t stress enough how good kale is for you.  It has beneficial nutrients and is low in calories.  Even eating the whole head like I did will only put you back around 400 calories (give or take). If you are interested the following web site has some very important information about kale and its important attributes:  http://whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&dbid=38.

Today I leave you with a picture of Sean with the puppy.  We had a very tired puppy because I took her for a walk (umm, she kind of walked me, we need to work on that :) ) and she played with another puppy for a while.  She’s as exhausted as I am!  Have a great hump day!

Jessica xoxo

Good Monday Morning!

January 18, 2010

Hello my friends! How is your Monday morning? Mine is half good and half not bad.  I finally got to sleep in…the puppy didn’t get up until 9! Sophia was sleeping with me, (Jeremy’s already gone for OH at 5am), and the boys were quietly playing upstairs. Heaven!

This morning I was starving because I’m not used to eating so late.  Peanut Butter Cup Oatmeal with Bananas to the rescue:

Sun Warrior Chocolate protein powder, unsweetened cocoa, natural peanut butter, agave nectar. YUM! Turns into this when mixed up:

How great does that look?  I actually couldn’t finish it, because it was so rich.  Chocolate in the morning is a great concept ;)

Today I need to get to UPS, and all of the kids are off from school today, so my day is just beginning. I won’t be hitting the gym until 6:30 with all my kids in tow to take the Monday night Cardio Core class.  So this is going to be short (and sweet)…a little food, a little exercise…

Let’s discuss yesterday!  I was out running around trying to get my groceries and birthday present for my Dad, so I brought lunch home with me from Target:

That’s a salad, and a horrible picture.  Grilled chicken, 1 egg, a little bit of bacon, blue cheese.  The dressing smelled like a ceasar, but I didn’t eat that, I put some of my own clean dressing on. (And yes, I know bacon isn’t clean. But it wasn’t probably even a 1/4 of a piece.)

I needed something, because I didn’t eat the whole salad (it was 3pm!) so I helped myself to some Mary’s Crackers and Sabra Supremely Hot Hummus:

Pretty!

I also picked up some dinner from Target:

Fried chicken, (I did not eat the skin) carrots and homemade bread.  At least I didn’t eat the skin. ;)   Honestly, I didn’t. ;)

I still wasn’t feeling quite myself and there were a couple of things I don’t normally indulge in (2 pieces of chocolate, diet ginger ale), but that’s ok. Everything in moderation.  That is important to remember.  If you deny yourself things, you will only end up binging later!

There was some dessert to round off the day:

Purely Decadent Mocha Almond Fudge and natural Peanut Butter. Fantastic! :)

I also have to mention, my husband made me some homemade clean beef jerky.  It was great tasting!

Exercise yesterday was really good, but I was sore today.

Yesterday’s work out: A 3 mile run (super slow, because my hip is inflamed again), plus:

Calf raise: 100 lbs.  3 sets 12

Hip abduction machine: 120 lbs. 3 sets of 12

Hip adduction machine: 120 lbs. 3 sets of 12

Machine leg curl: alternating legs: 35 lbs. 3 sets of 12

Machine leg extension: alternating legs: 40/50/60 3 sets of 12 (trying to find the weight I should be at).

I leave you today with a picture from our family game night. We played Harry Potter Clue, and it was fun! Me and Sophia were Hermione :)

Have a great day!

Jessica xoxo

Monday Mahem

January 4, 2010
Good Monday Morning to y’all! One more day until the kids are back to school and then *F*R*E*E*D*O*M* !!! Two weeks off at Christmas is a LOT. Sometimes with the funky schedule in my county it seems like the kids are off more then they’re in school.
So this morning breakfast consisted of a beautiful egg white sandwhich on an Ezekial muffin with a little bit of Farmer  cheese:
Yesterday, after I started my day with the peanut butter and “no jelly” oatmeal, I discovered my tummy was still a little off and could only eat half..so unlike me! So when lunchtime hit, I decided that a mostly raw meal would be great, and had some Wheatberry Salad with a yogurt dressing:
I always seem to have this on hand, because when I make it, it makes a TON.  And it keeps really well in the fridge :) So I made the yogurt dressing right in the yogurt container as it was half gone anyway (why dirty another container?)
Yogurt, rice wine vinegar, oregano, lemon juice = yummy! There was also some hummus and Mary’s Crack:
Not sure I’m a fan of the roasted garlic hummus…I think I’m more of a fan of the spicy Sabra that I ate before :)
I had to do some grocery shopping at Target, and do some returns, so when I got home it was late and I hadn’t had a snack yet and this hit the spot:
I am all about Fage with Honey. It is the perfect combination of tart and sweet. I’ve tried to add honey to other plain greek yogurts, and it’s just not the same ;) So this is my yogurt splurge! And it eats like a meal, very rarely do I need something with it…protein and carbs all in one place! (Simple carbs, but still.)
As I did the grocery shopping Jeremy decided he would cook dinner which was semi-clean (bet he didn’t know! ;) ) and I still felt kind of “off” so I stayed out of the kitchen:
It was fantastic! Homemade scalloped potatoes, and swedish meatballs.  I was so in need of comfort food, and this did it for me! Maybe the onions in the scalloped potatoes could be considered my vegetable? (Shame on me, but I just did not have the energy today!)
So the potatoes = clean, the swedish meatballs = not so clean. Oh well. It is all about moderation! Starting tomorrow there may be some small tweaks and changes to the eats.  I need to add in more protein, and I need to make sure that the things that I eat are not on the food sensitivity list. (I plan on posting the lists as well as the explanation of ALCAT later today, finally). I am giving myself another month with the ALCAT, to see if there are any further changes (weight, and water weight).  I have noticed changes with the water weight issue…being that it is less of an issue than it was before. I am thrilled about that, actually.
There will also be small changes to my workout routine (that have already started)…more running, more strength training).
Today’s plan:
1.  Breakfast
2.  Hitting the gym with the kids (2 mile run from yesterday) and push/pull weight routine plus abs (I plan on posting this also under the FIT workout later today!)
3.  Spending time with the kids on their last day off, having an early dinner and getting them to bed early to be ready for school!
4.  Blogging!
5.  Studying for the personal trainer certification (this might not actually happen until the kids are back in school Tuesday).
Have a great day!
Jessica xoxo
Thoughts: What changes are you making for the new year? 2010 is going to be a GREAT year. Bring it ON!

Tasty Tuesday :)

December 29, 2009

I really need to figure out some new things for breaky. Oatmeal and Ezekial Bread with peanut butter are getting old ;) Time to switch things up! Today’s breakfast is a homemade egg muffin. Egg whites, goat cheese, Ezekial muffins. Yep, that’s switching it up, for sure!!! It was really good!

I had some severe stomach issues which I attributed to stress. At any rate, I went to Whole Foods yesterday and stocked up on some necessary items: Mary’s Crack, cashew butter, smoked salmon, smoked muscles, goat cheese, Annie’s Goddess Dressing, arugula (I’m going to make pesto!), carrots, butter lettuce, and 50 other things that equated to $100. ;)

I was finally able to find these “granola bars” at Whole Foods that I was looking for all over…they’re called Cliff Nectar Bars, and were $1.89 each.  They have everything I can eat…the flavor was Lemon, Vanilla, Cashew. It only had 5 ingredients:

1.  Organic Dates

2.  Organic Cashews

3.  Organic Goji Berries

4.  Organic Lemon Juice Concentrate

5.  Organic Vanilla

They were pretty good! They had nothing bad in them, and were only 160 calories. I ate one in the car on the way home…

And the nutrition on the back if you can see it…

I picked up some lunch, too. For lunch I had a Sesame Kale Salad:

In this was kale, carrots, red peppers, sesame seeds, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, sea salt, honey, brown rice vinegar, sherry, tamari and canola oil.  It was just as fresh tasting as it looked, and so good. I craved veggies again today. It is the strangest thing. I swear, that has never happened before. And certainly not 2 days in a row!!! I think I’ve come around some sort of bend with my diet. (Diet being the way I eat, not one that restricts calories. I want to make that clear).

There was also Mary’s Crack and the final end of the Sabra Hummus, and some water! (yes, I take my own advice, LOL!)

Before I hit the gym I made a modified version of one of Tosca Reno’s protein shakes. So it had water, vanilla protein powder, oatmeal, peanut butter, agave, cinnamon. It’s a modified version of Tosca’s because she uses milk and I didn’t want the milk today.

I went to the gym for my Monday night Cardio Core class. We did a ton of shoulder work today, so I expect to be sore in the morning. I burned 335 calories @ 25% fat in 44:07. Oh, and I need to perfect my “burpee”. Those are hard! If you don’t know what a burpee is, click on the link. We do the whole thing with the variation, as many times as we can. I have problems getting up off of the floor, let alone jumping! ;) Try it at home for a good all-over body workout!!

So after the gym I came home and made some dinner. Yes, I am still eating leftovers! So nothing new here, just my sudden veggie addiction:

SO, in case you are just joining me in blogger land, this is broiled carrots and eggplant, a salad with raisins and natural dressing, and shredded mexican taco’s on blue organic corn taco shells with farmer cheese and green chili’s. YUMMY! I was starving, too, after doing fifty million burpees :) .

Dessert was some chocolate coconut snowballs that migrated into little muffin cups because I just can’t seem to get them round:

Hope your Tuesday is as tasty as mine!
